Common questions
Subtitles don't appear on a YouTube video
The video needs captions (its own or auto-generated). Turn captions on in the player once, and reload the page if the extension was installed or updated after you opened it.
How do I use it on other video sites?
EyeStill starts by itself on YouTube, Netflix and Kinopoisk. For any other site, open the EyeStill menu and turn on "Subtitles on all websites", or press Alt+Q on the page. On players without built-in subtitles you can drop a .srt or .vtt file onto the video.
The reading bar under AI answers
In ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and DeepSeek the bar stays under the latest answer and a new answer is read as it is written. Turn this off in the menu: "AI answers, automatically". Press Esc to close the bar for one answer.
3D drum or a flat line
Click "3D" on the bar, or use the "3D drum" switch in the menu, to switch to a flat line and back.
Interface language
English by default. Pick Russian in the menu: "Interface language".
Keyboard
Alt+Q — read the selection or the latest AI answer · Alt+R — open the video's transcript or the answer in the reader · Esc — close · ↑ ↓ — speed · [ ] — paragraph.
