# Reader — Cognitive Speed Reading Web Application
> Reader is a free, privacy-first web application for cognitive speed reading of FB2, EPUB, and TXT books using RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation), ORP (Optimal Recognition Point) fixation, and neural webcam eye-tracking via Google MediaPipe. All processing runs 100% locally on device.

## English Overview
- **RSVP Speed Reading:** Streams words sequentially in a stationary focal point from 100 to 1200+ WPM, eliminating saccadic eye movement latency and bypassing internal subvocalization.
- **ORP (Optimal Recognition Point) Highlighting:** Highlights and centers the exact character (30–35% into the word) where the visual cortex recognizes word morphology fastest.
- **AI Eye-Tracking:** Hands-free reading using in-browser MediaPipe FaceMesh (52 landmarks). Automatically pauses when the reader looks away and resumes when focus returns. Zero video data leaves the device.
- **Ebook Formats:** Native in-browser parsing for FB2, EPUB, TXT files, and direct article pasting.
- **Offline PWA & IndexedDB:** Installable as a progressive web app. Saves full books and reading progress locally; works completely offline.
- **Cognitive Tools:** Cloze recall active memory tests, syntagmatic pause rhythm, and Anti-Troxler fading protection.
- **Classics Library & Catalog:** Built-in public domain masterpieces (Pushkin, Lermontov, Tolstoy, Chekhov, Golding, London) and online library search with deep linking from landing page.
- **Languages:** Multilingual landing page available in Russian, English, and Spanish.
